Substance Abuse Assessment
A Substance Abuse Assessment (also known as a clinical evaluation or SAC) is a 45 – 60 minute interview with a licensed counselor. The purpose is to determine if there is any level of alcohol and / or drug abuse, addiction or risk for relapse and the need for possible treatment. You may request a Substance Abuse Assessment due to requirements for a drivers license reinstatement, probation / court or upon recommendation from an attorney or self interest. Anyone can request a substance abuse assessment without being referred or mandated. A substance abuse assessment may be required if you have a DUI. If you are a multiple DUI offender, you must complete DUI School (DUI Risk Reduction Program) before completing the assessment. All assessments are DHR approved and certified by the State of Georgia. Certification #99400. All assessments are performed by Stan Lepard, M.Ed., LPC, NCC. To schedule an appointment for an assessment, simply call our office at 678-796-1035.
